Why aren't my videos displaying on the home page?

If you have activated the VS Netflix Theme and added videos, but they are not showing up on the home page, please follow these steps:

Add Your Videos to a Genre / Category

Make sure that you have added each video to at least 1 Video Genre / Category.

Video Genres / Categories can be found under the the Videos menu tab within the admin dashboard.

When adding a new Video Genre or Category, make sure the Homepage order field is not blank. The Homepage Order field allows you to order the genre / category on the home page.

For example, a genre with a Homepage Order of 0, will display before (higher in the page) than a genre with a Homepage Order of 1.

Note: You can also edit a genre or category to update the Homepage Order.

If Your Videos Are Still Not Showing Up

1) Go to Pages and find your Home page, which should have a Front Page label next to it. Use the Quick Edit button and make sure the Template is set to Default Template.

2) Check the Video Homepage Options for each video.

When adding or editing a video, there is a Video Homepage Options box on the right side of the screen.

Within that box is a Hide on Homepage option. Make sure that option is disabled.
